No. Silk is our core, but we also work linen, cotton, viscose, polyester and blends. In total we have over 400 bases to choose from.

Yes. We work with brands of every size. Minimums are low and agreed according to article and process. For small quantities there is also our Stock Service, sold by the metre.

From ultra-light 5 momme silks up to structured silks of over 40 momme. We choose the right weight with you, based on the garment design and the strategy of the collection.

It is the unit of weight for silk: 1 momme equals about 4.3 grams per square metre. The higher the momme, the fuller and more opaque the fabric.

The ideal format is a high-resolution TIFF or PSD (300 dpi) at actual size. If the file is not print-ready, our design studio helps you prepare it: repeat, colourways and scaling.

Yes. Besides printing your own designs, you can start from our archive and customise colours and scale for your collection.

Every colour starts from a trial you approve. In production we measure it with a spectrophotometer and compare it in a light booth, roll by roll, before shipping.

Yes. Silk Lab Italy is GOTS certified for dyed and printed fabrics in organic silk, organic cotton and their blends: certificate no. GOTS-29946, issued by ECOCERT Greenlife. You can verify it in the official GOTS database. If you need certification on an order, tell us when you enquire.
